Talorys, a free open-source AI assistant, runs entirely inside your own Cloudflare account

Talorys is a single-user personal AI agent that installs with one command and stores everything in your own Cloudflare account. It is built to fit Cloudflare's free tier and has no telemetry.

Talorys is a free, open-source personal AI assistant that runs inside your own Cloudflare account. The developers say it does not rely on any server, database or account run by them.

You install it with one command: npx create-talorys@latest. The project describes the idea as one person, one Cloudflare account, one command, one personal AI agent. It is single-user by design, so there is no signup, no teams and no extra accounts. The installer asks you to set an owner password.

The assistant can chat with you, with streaming replies. It keeps a memory of personal facts and preferences that you can view, edit and delete. Only the most relevant memories are sent to the model on each turn. You can also manage tasks, notes and projects in the app, or by asking in chat, for example: "Add a task to review my project tomorrow."

Talorys also handles automations. These include one-time and recurring reminders, daily task digests and optional AI routines. They show up in an in-app notification center. They run on Durable Object alarms, which are scheduled triggers built into Cloudflare, so nothing has to stay online. Simple reminders and task digests do not use AI.

Under the hood, the browser talks only to your own pages.dev site. A Pages Function passes requests to a private Worker that has no public URL. The Worker hosts the agent, which keeps conversations, memories, tasks, notes, projects, automations, sessions, settings and usage in a SQLite-backed Durable Object. Chat uses Cloudflare's Workers AI with the model @cf/zai-org/glm-4.7-flash. Login and authorization are handled in the Worker, not the frontend.

The project says it uses Cloudflare Pages, Workers, Durable Objects and Workers AI, all available on the free plan. It does not set up R2, D1, KV, Vectorize, AI Search, Workflows or any paid service. Tasks, notes, memories and reminders keep working if Workers AI is unavailable or the free quota runs out.

The installer needs Node.js 20.18 or newer. It checks your Cloudflare login, lets you pick an account and an agent name, and hashes your password locally with PBKDF2-SHA256. The hash is stored only as a Cloudflare secret. It then deploys the Worker and the Pages project, checks that the live site responds, and prints the final URL. If the install is interrupted, running the same command again picks up where it stopped. According to the project, no duplicate resources are created and no data is deleted.

The project is clear that free does not mean unlimited. Cloudflare sets account-level quotas, including a daily Workers AI allocation, and those can change. When the AI allocation runs out, chat shows a message and resumes after the daily reset. On a paid Cloudflare plan, usage beyond the included amounts is billed by Cloudflare. Talorys includes adjustable guardrails, such as limits on output tokens, tool calls and AI requests per day.

On privacy, the project says Talorys has no telemetry, analytics, tracking or advertising code, and sends nothing to its developers. Cloudflare still processes your data to provide its services, including running AI inference on your chat messages and the memories included in each prompt. The project points users to Cloudflare's privacy policy and Workers AI terms.

Other features include a backup download from Settings, an update command, a password reset command that signs out all devices, and status and doctor commands. For local development, the code is on GitHub and runs with npm run dev, using a mock AI provider so no Cloudflare login is needed.
