Apple HomeView is a smart display for the home, according to Apple's product page. The page says it will be available starting November 13, with pre-order listed.

Apple describes the device as something that keeps the whole home connected, entertained and in the know. It lists a Liquid Retina display, high-fidelity audio, FaceTime, smart home controls and built-in privacy. The screen is 7 inches diagonally, with a 1088-by-1088-pixel resolution and 500 nits of maximum brightness (nits measure how bright a screen can get).

The headline feature is Siri AI. Apple calls it an entirely new version of Siri powered by Apple Intelligence, meant to help people find what they need and get more done. The page says it gives up-to-date answers on a wide range of topics. It also says Siri can understand personal context and use expressive voices when a paired iPhone or iPad is nearby.

People can wake it by saying "Siri" or "Hey Siri," or by swiping down from the top of the display to speak. The page also says it recognizes up to six people and gives each one a personalized experience. Both of these details, as well as the Siri AI description, were flagged for checking against the primary source.

There are two models. The standard HomeView comes in silver, starlight (a pale gold), rose pink and space gray. It weighs 2.1 pounds (952 grams). The wall-mounted version comes in silver and space gray, weighs 0.63 pound (286 grams) and is about 0.39 inch (0.98 cm) thick.

Inside, the page lists an A18 chip and a 12MP Center Stage camera. FaceTime video and audio calls work with any FaceTime-enabled device over Wi-Fi. For sound, the standard model has two full-range drivers, a down-firing woofer and dual passive radiators. The wall-mounted model has the two full-range drivers. Both support Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos and multiroom audio with AirPlay.

The page also mentions a four-microphone design for hearing Siri from across a room. It lists Sound Recognition for smoke and carbon monoxide alarm sounds. For connections, it lists Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0 and Thread, a networking technology used by smart home devices. Sensors include ambient light, temperature and humidity, and an accelerometer.

To set it up, you need an iPhone with iOS 27.2 or later, or an iPad with iPadOS 27.2 or later, plus Wi-Fi. Both models need wired power. The standard model comes with a 1.5 m USB-C cable and a 30W power adapter. For the wall-mounted model, the mount, cable and power adapter (minimum 20W) are sold separately.

Apple also lists environmental details. The enclosure base of the standard model and the enclosure of the wall-mounted model use 100% recycled aluminum. The page also claims 100% recycled copper, gold and rare earth elements in specific parts.
